How to Write a Cover Letter That Stands out from the Clutter

The No. 1 place to sell yourself and your skills in a job application isn’t your resume, as some may believe, but it’s actually your cover letter. Your cover letter provides your potential employer an opportunity to see your voice and personality on paper. In addition, after reading it, they should have a good idea as to if you know something about the company or not, and more importantly, if you’ll be a good fit for the position and office environment. But, how do you write a cover letter that stands out from the applicant clutter?
